We are looking for an enthusiastic, empathetic, and proactive person to join our team at Sanville Care Home as an Activities and Wellbeing Co-ordinator. Activities are a huge part of life for our residents, and this is a key role within our Home.
Your role will be to bring happiness to our residents' lives as part of our โ€˜Enjoy Your Dayโ€™ initiative. With support from the home manager and head office, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a person-centred activities programme that will engage, stimulate, and improve the well-being of our residents. Whether you are arranging group activities like arts and crafts, baking, and chair yoga, or doing a one-to-one activity like reading or doing a wordsearch, we guarantee no two days will be the same. You will also report on the effectiveness of your activities programme, and review and refresh it when needed.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
โ€ข Planning, organising, promoting, and implementing a meaningful, enjoyable, engaging,and stimulating activities programme, based on person-centred care principles
โ€ข Ensuring weekly and monthly calendars are created to ensure activities are planned daily and then distributed throughout the home
โ€ข Motivating and inspiring care team members in the provision of activities and person-centred care
โ€ข Ensuring records relating to activities are accurate and up to date
โ€ข Planning regular reviews with each resident, in partnership with the care team members
โ€ข Conducting regular reviews of all activity programmes to measure and assess effectiveness
โ€ข Ensuring key events, activities, and achievements are communicated to the Marketing Department
โ€ข Building strong and positive external links within the local community
โ€ข Managing activities budgets in liaison with the Home Manager
โ€ข Assisting with some basic elements of care delivery, e.g., meals, safe moving & handling, personal grooming
โ€ข Taking part in relevant training and development opportunities.

โ€ข Proven ability to research, develop, organise, and implement a varied and appropriate person-centred events/activities programme.
โ€ข Friendly, creative, and confident.
โ€ข Genuine interest in working with seniors.
โ€ข Excellent communication and organisational skills.
โ€ข Confident team player.
โ€ข Ability to work on own initiative.
