We are looking for talented healthcare assistants to join our friendly and professional team at County Care Home, Enniskillen.
Experience is preferred but not essential; you should be warm-hearted, compassionate, have plenty of ambition and be committed to delivering outstanding care every day.
As a Health Care Assistant, you will be involved in supporting the daily activities of our residents in a relationship-centred manner, promoting their dignity, independence and well-being and becoming an integral part of their lives. You will work closely with the wider team at our care home and will form relationships with the families of our residents.
Whether you have experience or not, we will provide a full induction and will provide ongoing training opportunities to support you in developing your career. Thereโs no limit to how far you can go with us; previous carers have progressed to roles such as regional clinical specialists.

โข Assisting in the direct care provision of all aspects of the service users' assessed needs whilst promoting independence and promoting their dignity at all times
โข Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
โข Provide emotional and social support to residents, engaging in conversation, companionship, and recreational activities
โข Help residents with mobility and transferring, including using assistive devices like wheelchairs, walkers, or lifts
โข Assist residents with meal preparation, feeding, and monitoring dietary needs.
โข Conveying relevant information about the service users to the nurse in charge
โข Maintain accurate records of care provided, changes in condition, and any incidents or concerns
โข Assisting in activities within the Home
โข Helping to maintain a safe environment for staff, residents and visitors through awareness of health and safety policies and by attending training as required.
โข To undertake any other duties as required to keep the nursing home running smoothly, as delegated by trained nursing staff or the home manager.
About You.
โข GCSE (English & Maths)
โข Completion of a recognised training program is often preferred
โข Previous experience as a Care Assistant or a similar role is a plus
โข Compassion, patience, and empathy for the elderly and those with health challenges
โข Strong communication and interpersonal skills
โข Physical fitness and the ability to assist with lifting and mobility
โข Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a healthcare team
โข Understanding of confidentiality and respect for residents' privacy
