About the Role.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, empathetic and proactive person to join our team at Hamilton Court Care Home, Armagh, as an Activities and Well-being Co-ordinator. Activities are a huge part of life for our residents, and this is a key role within our Home.

Your role will be to bring happiness to our residents' lives as part of our β€˜Enjoy Your Day’ initiative. With support from the home manager and head office, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a person-centred activities programme that will engage, stimulate and improve the well-being of our residents. Whether you are arranging group activities like arts and crafts, baking and chair yoga, or doing a one-to-one activity like reading or doing a wordsearch, we guarantee no two days will be the same. You will also report on the effectiveness of your activities programme, and review and refresh it when needed.

About You.

β€’ Planning, organising, promoting and implementing a meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities programme, based on person-centred care principles
β€’ Ensuring weekly and monthly calendars are created to ensure activities are planned daily and then distributed throughout the home
β€’ Motivating and inspiring care team members in the provision of activities and person-centred care
β€’ Ensuring records relating to activities are accurate and up to date
β€’ Planning regular reviews with each resident, in partnership with the care team members
β€’ Conducting regular reviews of all activity programmes to measure and assess effectiveness
β€’ Ensuring key events, activities and achievements are communicated to the Marketing Department
β€’ Building strong and positive external links within the local community
β€’ Managing activities budgets in liaison with the Home Manager
β€’ Assisting with some basic elements of care delivery, e.g., meals, safe moving & handling, personal grooming
β€’ Taking part in relevant training and development opportunities.
