About the Role.

NO SPONSORSHIP

We are looking for talented carers to join our friendly and professional team at The County Care Home in Enniskillen. Experience is preferred but not essential, however you should be warm-hearted, compassionate, have plenty of ambition and be committed to delivering outstanding care every day.

As a care assistant, you will be involved in supporting the daily activities of our residents in a relationship-centred manner; promoting their dignity, independence and well-being and becoming an integral part of their lives. You will work closely with the wider team at our Care Home and will form relationships with the families of our residents.

Whether you have experience or not we will provide a full induction and will provide ongoing training opportunities to support you in developing your career. There’s no limit how far you can go with us; previous carers have progressed to roles such as Regional Clinical Specialists.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Assisting in the direct care provision of all aspects of the service users assessed needs whilst promoting independence and promoting their dignity at all times
• Assisting residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
• Providing emotional and social support to residents, engaging in conversation, companionship, and recreational activities
• Helping residents with mobility and transferring, including using assistive devices like wheelchairs, walkers, or lifts
• Assisting residents with meal preparation, feeding, and monitoring dietary needs.
• Conveying relevant information about the service users to the nurse in charge
• Maintaining accurate records of care provided, changes in condition, and any incidents or concerns
• Assisting in activities within the Home
• Helping to maintain a safe environment for staff, residents and visitors, through awareness of health and safety policies and by attending training as required.
• Undertaking any other duties as required, in order to keeping the Nursing Home running smoothly, as delegated by trained nursing staff or Home Manager.

About You.

• Experience preferred but not essential as training provided
• Hold an NVQ level I or be willing to work towards this.
• Warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to delivering the highest standard of care
• Genuine interest in working with the elderly
• Good communication skills and a can-do attitude.
