About the Role.

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable housekeeper to join our friendly team at Glenview Care Home in Cabragh, Dungannon. Providing a warm, comfortable and safe environment for our residents to live is a top priority, so this is a vital and valuable role within our care home.

As housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the care home, following strict infection and control procedures. You will lead a team that will create a clean and comfortable living space and help promote the dignity and independence of our residents.


• Ensuring that cleaning duties are carried out in accordance to the cleaning schedule.
• Ensuring team work is applied at all times to provide a clean and welcoming environment for the residents, guests and visitors.
• Maintaining the highest standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
• Support the Housekeeper in reporting any defects or damage to furnishings within the home.
• Ensure that products being used have been specifically selected for the purpose.
• Carry out any reasonable instruction from the Housekeeper or Home Manager.
• Complete cleaning documentation in line with company policy
• Ensure that infection control policies and universal precautions are always followed.
• Carry out deep cleaning in line with regional guidelines and procedures

About You.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare or nursing home setting, is a plus
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff.
• Respect for residents' privacy and maintaining confidentiality.
• Understanding of safety and infection control protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
