Celebrating International Nurses Day

Today was a special day across all our care homes as we proudly celebrated International Nurses Day!

This important day is a global moment to recognise the incredible contributions of nurses everywhere, honouring the legacy of Florence Nightingale, whose pioneering work laid the foundations for modern nursing.

Our wonderful nurses work tirelessly, day in and day out, providing compassionate care, comfort and support to all our residents. They really are the unsung heroes of our homes.

To show our appreciation, we made sure our nurses had a chance to take a well-deserved moment out of their busy schedules today.

They got to relax and enjoy some delicious homemade treats, lovingly prepared by our teams, and residents presented them with lovely handmade cards!

At The County, there was an extra special surprise when the nurses received thoughtful nurses fob watches as a token of gratitude. Then, some of the nurses showed off their other talents, treating the residents to some fantastic dancing performances!

While today is a dedicated day for recognition, we want all our nurses to know that we celebrate their worthiness, their hard work, and their incredible impact every single day.
