The County team recently received a thank you card from a wonderful lady named Violet, who stayed with them for a period of respite, and her words have truly overwhelmed everyone.

Inside the card, Violet penned the most beautiful and touching poem:

This little card I send to you,

Is because of the wonderful things you do.

The care for so many patients I see,

Not least for as such a rascal as me.

I’ve grown to love you all so much.

I'm reminiscing of your gentle touch.

The way I've been treated since I walked in the door,

Has aided me getting well and more.

Wishing you all Every Blessing

Sharon Leonard, deputy manager at The County, said: “The poem has resonated deeply within the team. It's moments like these that remind us why we do what we do.

“Knowing that the gentle care and the way we treat our residents has 'aided her getting well and more' really is the greatest compliment the team could receive.”

Violet's heartfelt "Wishing you all Every Blessing" at the end of her poem was the perfect finishing touch to a card that meant so much to everyone at The County.

Sharon added, “The card was a reminder of the special bonds we form with our residents and the positive impact we can have on their lives, even during a short respite stay.”

To Violet, thank you for your beautiful words. Your "little card" has made a truly big difference to everyone at The County Care Home.

Sharon finished off saying, “We miss Violet dearly and wish her all the best on her return home.”
